Hot-Dip Galvanized Corrugated Roofing Sheet for Industrial and Residential Roof Systems
1.Product Overview
Hot-Dip Galvanized Corrugated Roofing Sheet is a profiled building material produced from galvanized steel sheet through continuous corrugating or roll-forming processes.
The metallic zinc coating protects the steel substrate from atmospheric moisture and oxidation, while the corrugated profile improves sheet rigidity and supports efficient roof drainage.
This product is commonly used for industrial workshops, warehouses, agricultural buildings, residential roofing, temporary structures, wall cladding, and equipment shelters. Sheet thickness, profile shape, effective width, length, zinc coating, and surface treatment can be selected according to project requirements.
2.Technical Solution
The base steel is coated with zinc through a continuous hot-dip galvanizing process. The zinc layer forms a protective barrier over the steel surface and provides additional protection around cut edges and minor surface damage.
The galvanized flat sheet is subsequently processed through a roll-forming line to create a corrugated or trapezoidal profile. The profile geometry increases the rigidity of the sheet and allows rainwater to flow along the formed ribs.
Different profile depths, rib spacing, effective widths, and sheet lengths can be selected according to roof span, purlin spacing, wind conditions, drainage requirements, and installation method.
Optional surface treatments include passivation, chromate-free passivation, oiling, and anti-fingerprint treatment. These treatments can improve storage protection, handling performance, and surface appearance.

8.FAQ
Q1.What is galvanized corrugated roofing sheet?
It is a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet formed into a corrugated or trapezoidal profile for roofing, wall cladding, shelters, and general building applications.
Q2.What is the difference between overall width and effective width?
Overall width is the total physical width of the roofing sheet. Effective width is the actual roof coverage after adjacent sheets are overlapped.
Q3.Can the sheet length be customized?
Yes. The length can be cut according to roof dimensions, transportation restrictions, handling conditions, and installation requirements.
Q4.How should the zinc coating be selected?
The zinc coating should be selected according to environmental exposure, humidity, rainfall, storage conditions, and the expected service requirements of the building.
Q5.What profile types are available?
Common options include traditional corrugated profiles, trapezoidal profiles, and customized profiles produced according to drawings or samples.
Q6.Can galvanized roofing sheets be used for wall cladding?
Yes. Profiled galvanized sheets can be installed as exterior wall panels, internal partitions, fencing panels, and equipment enclosure panels.
Q7.What accessories are required for installation?
Typical accessories include roofing screws, sealing washers, ridge caps, flashing, gutters, closure strips, and sealants. The final selection depends on the roofing profile and building design.
Q8.How should galvanized corrugated roofing sheets be stored?
The sheets should be stored in a dry and ventilated area with suitable support underneath. Water accumulation, condensation, packaging damage, and prolonged direct contact with wet ground should be avoided.
