Titania Coating E6013 J421 Arc Welding Electrode for Carbon Steel Structures
1.Product Overview
Titania coating E6013 J421 arc welding electrode is a mild steel welding electrode used for low carbon steel structures, thin steel plates, short discontinuous welds, repair welding, and general fabrication work.
J421 is a rutile type carbon steel electrode suitable for AC and DC power sources. It provides stable arc performance, easy re-ignition, low spatter, easy slag removal, and smooth weld appearance for all-position welding.
2.Technical Solution
E6013 / J421 electrode uses titania type coating to improve arc stability and welding operability.
The electrode is suitable for all-position welding, including PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, and PF positions. It can be used with both AC and DC welding machines, making it flexible for workshop fabrication, field installation, repair work, and carbon steel structure welding.
The deposited metal provides controlled carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus levels to support stable weld strength and general structural welding performance.

4.Application
This electrode is suitable for welding low carbon steel structures, thin steel plates, light steel fabrication, machinery parts, building components, repair welding, intermittent welding, and short weld seams.
It is especially suitable for applications requiring smooth weld bead appearance and easy welding operation.
5.Processing
The electrode can be used for all-position welding with AC or DC welding power supply.
In normal storage condition, re-drying is generally not required before welding. If the electrode is affected by moisture, it should be re-dried at 150℃–170℃ for 0.5–1 hour before use.
Before welding, the base metal surface should be cleaned to remove heavy rust, oil, moisture, and other contaminants. Welding current should be selected according to electrode diameter, plate thickness, welding position, and joint design.
