BS DIN GB Standard SPCC Tinplate Sheet for Canned Meat and Metal Packaging
1.Product Overview
BS DIN GB standard tinplate sheet is used for canned meat, food cans, closures, can bodies, can ends, crown caps, battery cans, shallow drawn parts, and other metal packaging applications.
The product is made from MR or SPCC cold rolled steel substrate with tin coating on the surface. Tinplate provides good surface quality, formability, coating compatibility, and corrosion protection for can-making and printed metal packaging.
2.Technical Solution
The tinplate sheet is produced according to BS EN 10202, DIN EN 10203, GB/T2520, and JIS G3303 standards.
Tin coating options include 2.8/2.8, 2.8/5.6, and 5.6/5.6 g/m². The coating can be selected according to food type, filling condition, storage environment, and corrosion protection requirement.
Temper grades from T2 to T6 and DR8 BA support different forming and stiffness requirements. Softer tempers are suitable for shallow drawing and formed parts, while higher tempers are suitable for can ends, bodies, and closures requiring stronger panel rigidity.
Bright, stone, and silver finishes with passivation and DOS oil support printing, lacquering, forming, and storage stability.

5.Application
This tinplate sheet is suitable for canned meat packaging, food cans, can bodies, can ends, crown caps, closures, battery cans, shallow drawn parts, pie pans, storage cans, and printed metal packaging.
It is commonly used in can-making lines requiring stable temper control, controlled tin coating, and surface quality suitable for printing or lacquering.
6.Processing
The product supports slitting, cut-to-length processing, printing, lacquering, stamping, shallow drawing, forming, seaming, and can body production.
Passivation and DOS oil treatment help improve surface stability during storage and downstream can-making operations.
Export packing with plastic film, rust-proof paper, metal cover, metal corner, metal band, and wooden skid supports container shipment and long-distance transportation.
