Product Description

1200mm - 1800mm Width SS400, Q235, Q34 Hot Rolled Checkered Steel Plate / Sheet

1.Product Overview

Hot rolled checkered steel plate is used where a raised surface pattern and a structural steel base are both required in one plate. Compared with plain hot rolled plate, the embossed pattern helps improve surface grip in working areas, access platforms, ramps, and fabricated floor sections, while the base plate thickness and steel grade remain the main factors for load-bearing performance.

This specification covers 1200mm to 1800mm width and 8mm to 50mm thickness. It is suitable for structural flooring, access plates, industrial platform panels, and fabricated steel parts where anti-slip performance and plate strength need to be considered together.

2.Technical Solution

The product is manufactured as hot rolled steel plate with a patterned top surface. In actual use, the base steel grade determines the structural strength and fabrication behavior, while the checkered pattern improves contact friction on the exposed side.

Q195 and Q235 are generally used for general fabrication. Q345 is more suitable where higher strength is required. SS400 and SS490 are commonly selected where JIS-related structural routing is preferred. Thickness should be selected according to support spacing, service load, welding route, and required rigidity rather than surface pattern alone.

4.Application

  • This material is suitable for structural flooring and industrial walking areas where a patterned surface is required.
  • It can be used for platforms, ramps, stair components, equipment flooring, access decks, and general fabricated plate parts.
  • It is also suitable for construction, roofing-related fabrication, container-related plate parts, boiler-related fabricated sections, and flange plate applications where plate rigidity and surface grip are both important.

5.Processing

  • The plate can be supplied in cut length according to project requirement.
  • It is suitable for flame cutting, plasma cutting, drilling, welding, bending, and general structural fabrication.
  • Thickness, width, and cut size should be selected together according to final part geometry, fabrication route, transport limits, and installation method.

6.Advantages

  • The raised checkered surface improves grip compared with plain hot rolled plate.
  • The 1200mm to 1800mm width range is suitable for larger structural flooring blanks and wider fabricated parts.
  • The 8mm to 50mm thickness range covers medium to heavy plate applications.
  • Multiple grade options allow the plate to be matched to general fabrication use or higher structural requirement.
  • Hot rolled checkered plate is suitable for industrial fabrication where surface texture and base plate strength are both needed.

7.How to Choose

  • Choose Q195 or Q235 for general fabrication and standard flooring use.
  • Choose Q345 when higher strength level is required.
  • Choose SS400 or SS490 when the project follows JIS-related structural grade routing.
  • Choose thickness according to support spacing, service load, and required stiffness.
  • Choose width and length according to blank layout, cutting yield, transport condition, and installation size.
